Truly Classic Classic Cars
Classic car lovers and classic car collectors are so dutifully dedicated to their particular eras and/or models that there is always some friendly—and sometimes contentious—debate as to what cars truly can be considered classics. There are factions that believe only the old cars that gave birth to modern cars should be considered classics, and the rest dubbed by some other name—collector cars, perhaps. And then there are some more liberal in definition, allowing that any older car be given the name. But no matter what camp you hail from, one thing is certain—the undeniability of the truly classic, true classic cars of the early part of the twentieth century. The Start Of It AllThe first half of the 1900's is the time of the birth of the automobile. It was an invention like no other, the singular catalyst for our modern way of living and moving today. The modern automobile was born early on in the century and continued to develop from there. Ford saw raging success as it moved to put its Model T at the hands of every American, ushering in 1908 as the year cars came into popular use by the general American public. From that time on America's love affair with the automobile was born, and life would never be the same again. We for one at Ragtops Classic Car Dealership In West Palm Beach, Florida are so glad for the change. Competition, Change, And Constant ImprovementWhen you have one product as big as the automobile, you are bound to have many rushing to fill the need. The demand for affordable cars gave birth to so many great examples of automotive craftsmanship. Unfortunately a number of great car manufacturers that gave us some of the best classic cars have faded away, but thanks to classic car collectors their legacies live on. It's that legacy that we try to carry on for each of these cars in our Florida classic car and collector car dealership and museum. Undeniably, the many car manufacturers and many different cars and trucks of the pre-1950's are definitely considered to be classics. While there are many collector favorites, like the Ford Model A Roadster and Chevrolet Roadster, the Chrysler Airstream, LaSalle Convertible, and rugged late 40's Chevrolet pickup trucks, there are many examples that are classics even without a following. In short, if it's old (dating before 1950) and in good shape, it's a classic car…a piece of Americana and a piece of history worth preserving. The specimens we are left with today are some of the rarest and most lovingly cared for examples of classic car goodness. We covet these vehicles as each of them should be, appreciate them for their service and style and experiences, and offer them to our friends and neighbors from near and far through our FL classic car sales in an effort to spread the joy of classic car ownership and help make new lives for the cars and trucks that deserve preserving the most. Please do contact us today and tell us what we can do to help you do the same! Related Topics:
