1940 LaSalle Series 50 Sedan

One for the ages, this is LaSalle was on exhibition at the 1939 NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR, and it has remained in the same family for over 66 years! Purchased at the Fair by the Cadillac –LaSalle dealer from Bogata ,Columbia, it remained in his control the entire time, passed on to his son, who brought it to us. We were instantly captivated by its history, and it unique color combination…red with white roof top, and beige cloth interior. Yes, that is a factory color combination…quite racy for 1940! This is the first year for the headlights to be intergraded into the fenders, and sadly , also, the last year for production of the LaSalle line. The fact that it has this wonderful story, and since we also have a facility on property here at Ragtops that is called Club LaSalle, we reluctantly offer this amazing sedan for purchase….it will be a sad day when it leaves here, and a happy day for the new owners.
